Local Travel
Long Island has minimal public transportation so you should expect to either rent a car, or take taxi cabs if you are staying on Long Island. Those who choose to stay in Manhattan may take the Long Island Railroad from Penn Station. We are located 1/4 mile from the East Williston station on the Oyster Bay Line. Click here for more information on public transportation in our area.

Hotels
Being in a major metropolitan area, there are many hotels to choose from ranging from moderately expensive to outrageously expensive. We have had favorable feedback from visitors about the following:
Red Roof Inn - Westbury, N. Y. Just a few miles away from us. Conveniently located near great shopping and restaurants. Most of our visitors stay here.
Howard Johnsons - Westbury, N. Y. We have had some favorable comments about this hotel as well, however it is less conveniently located.
Attractions
If you are visiting the area it offers many things to do including beaches, museums, theatre, sporting events, and much more. Some of our favorites:
Cradle Of Aviation Museum - Recently remodeled, this is a must see for any history, space, or aviation buffs.
Garvies Point Museum and Preserve - Museum includes regional geology and local Native American archaeology. 62-acre preserve, 5 mi of trails off Hempstead harbor.
Old Bethpage Village Restoration - A living history museum depicting farm and town life on LI in the mid-19th century, with over 55 historic structures, staffed by costumed guides and craftspersons.
Sagamore Hill National Historic Site - Home of President Theodore Roosevelt, 1885-1919. Period furnishings.
Those are just some of our picks. Many more can be found on the NY tourism web site.
Manhattan
We are just a short hop from New York City so some visitors like to visit or stay in Manhattan while they are here. The possibilities for places to stay or visit there are endless, so we are just including this link to NYC tourism information for those who would like to explore this possibility further.
